CoPos (Contract Position)

A CoPos is a single line item within a contract. It specifies which article in what quantity and quality at what price has been agreed upon between the contracting parties. Multiple CoPos entries make up the substantive content of a contract — the contract header provides the administrative, logistical, and financial framework, while the positions carry the actual item-level commitments.

Each CoPos stores the agreed quantities (requested, booked, and administrative), the net unit price and price list reference, source and destination partners and addresses for that specific line, and quality attributes such as quality level and packing type. A workflow status (EnqState) per position allows individual line items to be tracked and managed independently within the overall contract lifecycle. CoPos records are the primary target for transaction positions (TransPos) when physical goods movements fulfill a contractual obligation, making them the central reconciliation point between agreed and actually delivered quantities.
