Trans (Transaction)
A Trans is the header record for a stock movement event — a goods receipt at intake, a goods issue on dispatch, or any other warehouse operation that changes the inventory position. It acts as the organizational umbrella under which all individual weighed or counted items (TransPos) are grouped. A single transaction might represent a full truck delivery containing twenty different positions with different articles, qualities, and weights — all belonging to the same physical arrival event at the facility.
The transaction header carries the administrative context for the event: the partner who delivered or received the goods, the date and time of the operation, the associated contract (if the movement fulfills a contractual obligation), and the current workflow status. It also records whether the transaction has been signed off and whether all positions have been checked and confirmed. This combination of header context and detailed positions makes the Trans the central audit document for physical goods flows through the warehouse.
