Address
An Address in the stock context is a physical location record linked to a partner — used to identify farms, storage facilities, processing sites, and logistics contacts involved in stock transactions. A single partner can have multiple addresses serving different roles: a farm's field location (where goods are collected), a separate office address (for correspondence and invoicing), and one or more warehouse addresses (where goods are delivered or received).
In the stock workflow, addresses play a key role in logistics routing: the source address on a transaction or contract position indicates where goods originate, while the destination address indicates where they should go. Addresses also carry geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) which enable map-based visualization of delivery routes or farm locations, as well as free-text way descriptions that give drivers practical navigation instructions beyond what a GPS address alone can provide. Communication details such as email and phone number make each address a self-contained contact record for the relevant site or person.
