MarketingProj (Marketing Project)
A MarketingProj is an organizational grouping entity that bundles product groups and articles under a common marketing initiative, product season, or campaign context. In the stock management context, a marketing project typically represents a trading season or a specific commodity program — for example "Grain Season 2024/25" or "Organic Oilseeds Program". Product groups are assigned to a marketing project, which means that every article belonging to those groups is implicitly part of that project's scope.
Marketing projects serve as a high-level reporting and filtering dimension: they allow managers to view all contracts, stock movements, and open positions across an entire season or program at a glance, without needing to manually select individual product groups. They also provide a natural boundary for financial settlement at the end of a season, grouping everything that needs to be reconciled under one umbrella. In integrations with external commodity management or ERP systems, the marketing project is often used as the campaign or period code that the external system requires for correct booking.
